Requires owners of enclosures containing white-tailed deer that prevent free egress to apply for and receive a permit from the Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks.

Permit applicants must provide their name, enclosure location, acreage, information about any imported deer, and any other information required by the Commissioner.

Permit holders must comply with department testing requirements for harvested white-tailed deer and allow department personnel to conduct lethal collection for tissue samples if chronic wasting disease is found within five miles of the enclosure.

If chronic wasting disease is diagnosed within the enclosure, owners must allow department personnel to enter and depopulate all white-tailed deer in the enclosure.

Violations are classified as Class I violations punishable under Section 49-7-141, effective July 1, 2018.
