HB 1582 - Attorney General Appropriations (FY 2019)

• Appropriates $22,976,084.00 from the State General Fund and $9,603,993.00 from special funds to the Office of the Attorney General for fiscal year 2019 (July 1, 2018 - June 30, 2019).

• Authorizes 94 permanent full-time positions and 232 time-limited full-time positions for the office.

• Requires the Attorney General to transfer $2,529,634.00 to the Board of Education by July 31, 2018 for the State Department of Education's Early Childhood Education Initiative Program.

• Allocates $5,690,346.00 from general fund court assessments to support multiple programs including crime victim compensation, cyber crime unit, domestic violence training, and children's advocacy centers.

• Establishes performance measures and targets for the Attorney General's office across litigation, training, opinions, contract services, fraud enforcement, and victim compensation programs.
