MS HB1660

Authorizes the Town of Tishomingo in Tishomingo County, Mississippi to construct, expand, operate and maintain its gas distribution system up to eight miles outside the town's corporate limits.

Limits rates charged to customers outside corporate limits to no more than twice the rate charged for the same service within the town.

Does not exempt the town from obtaining a Certificate of Public Convenience and Necessity or from Public Service Commission jurisdiction over rates under Mississippi Code Section 77-3-1 et seq.

Takes effect upon passage.
