MS HB1673

Authorizes the Panola County Board of Supervisors to employ a certified professional evaluator to approve or deny residential wastewater disposal systems within the county.

Requires the evaluator to be a county employee certified by the Mississippi State Department of Health and/or the Environmental Protection Agency.

Permits the evaluator to grant or deny approvals without involving the Mississippi State Department of Health, provided the county ordinance meets or exceeds state requirements.

Applies only to wastewater disposal system approval requests submitted after the bill's effective date.

Takes effect upon passage.
