Amends Section 43-21-301 to authorize youth courts to use electronic monitoring as an alternative to detention when placing a youth into custody, subject to court-prescribed conditions and limitations.

Amends Section 43-21-605 to add electronic monitoring as a disposition option in delinquency cases, allowing courts to place children on electronic monitoring subject to any conditions and limitations the court may prescribe.

Electronic monitoring becomes available alongside existing dispositional alternatives such as probation, custody with parents or relatives, treatment orders, community service, detention center placement, and intensive supervision programs.

Takes effect July 1, 2018.
