Amends Section 97-5-39 of the Mississippi Code to expand the definition of "contributing to the delinquency of a minor" to include knowingly causing a child to violate the Uniform Controlled Substances Law or to participate in gang or gang-related activities.

Maintains existing penalties for contributing to delinquency as a misdemeanor: up to $1,000 fine and/or up to one year in jail.

Applies to any parent, guardian, or other person who intentionally, knowingly, or recklessly commits such acts or omissions against children (persons under 18 years old).

Effective date is July 1, 2018.
