Eliminates the one-week waiting period requirement for eligibility for unemployment compensation benefits effective July 1, 2018.

Makes conforming changes to Mississippi Code sections 71-5-11, 71-5-13, 71-5-355, 71-5-357, 71-5-359, 71-5-361, 71-5-501, and 71-5-505 to remove references to the waiting period and related provisions.

Removes language requiring individuals to have been unemployed for one week before qualifying for benefits, allowing eligible individuals to receive benefits immediately upon meeting other eligibility requirements.

Updates pronouns throughout the affected sections from "he" to "he or she" to reflect gender-neutral language.
