Authorizes the Mississippi Department of Child Protection Services to place children in the homes of relatives during emergency placements when the child's primary caregiver is suddenly unavailable.

Increases the timeframe for submitting fingerprints of adults residing in emergency placement homes to the Mississippi Criminal Information Center (MCIC) or Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) from fourteen (14) to fifteen (15) calendar days.

Increases the timeframe for residents to submit fingerprints after being denied child placement in their home from fourteen (14) to fifteen (15) calendar days.

Requires immediate removal of a child from a home if any adult resident fails to provide fingerprints and written permission for a federal criminal history records check when requested.

Effective July 1, 2018.
