Reduces the maximum effective period for emergency temporary rules from 120 days to 90 days under Mississippi's Administrative Procedures Act.

Reduces the maximum renewal period for emergency temporary rules from 90 days to 60 days.

Allows agencies to adopt emergency rules without prior notice when they find imminent peril to public health, safety, or welfare requires expedited action.

Takes effect July 1, 2018.
