Lowers the minimum age requirement to serve in the Mississippi State Senate from 25 years to 18 years of age.

Maintains all other eligibility requirements: must be a qualified elector for 4 years and an actual resident of the district for 2 years before election.

Proposes this as an amendment to Section 42 of the Mississippi Constitution of 1890.

Scheduled for voter approval on the first Tuesday after the first Monday of November 2018.

Justification cites that 18-year-olds serve in the Armed Forces and are eligible to vote in all elections.
