Commends Judge John Andrew Hatcher, Jr., upon his retirement after more than 11 years of service as Chancery Court Judge of the First Chancery Court District of Mississippi, Place 1, covering eight counties (Alcorn, Tishomingo, Prentiss, Lee, Union, Pontotoc, Monroe, and Itawamba).

Recognizes Judge Hatcher's career including his law practice beginning in 1973, service as Prentiss County prosecutor from 1980 to 1995, and various city attorney positions.

Honors his public service roles including vice chairman of the Mississippi Council on Children, housing specialist with the Governor's Office, and leadership in community organizations including the First Judicial District Bar Association.

Acknowledges his long-standing membership and service at Booneville First United Methodist Church since 1975 and support from his wife of 49 years, Kathy Reynolds Hatcher.

Directs that copies of the resolution be furnished to Judge Hatcher and the Capitol Press Corps.
