Proclaims September 29, 2018, as "Walter Anderson Day" in Mississippi to honor the late artist Walter Inglis Anderson (born September 29, 1903).

Recognizes Anderson's artistic achievements including murals for Ocean Springs High School (1934), large-format linoleum block prints exhibited at Brooklyn Museum (1948), and 2,500 square foot Community Center Murals (1951).

Notes Anderson's work was exhibited at the Smithsonian American Art Museum (2003) and the Ocean Springs Community Center murals were declared a National Treasure (2005).

Credits Anderson with transforming watercolor into a fine art and becoming a foremost southern artist whose work represents an integral part of the American Contemporary Art Movement and Gulf Coast culture.
