Salutes Fletcher Cox, a native of Jonestown/Yazoo City, Mississippi, for his success as a defensive tackle with the Philadelphia Eagles and winning Super Bowl LII Championship on February 4, 2018.

Recognizes Cox's outstanding NFL career including three Pro Bowl selections (2016, 2017, 2018), three second-team All-Pro selections (2014, 2015, 2017), 34 career sacks, and 286 solo tackles during his six-year tenure with Philadelphia.

Notes Cox's path from Yazoo City High School to Mississippi State University (12th overall pick in 2012 NFL Draft) and his status as only the second native of Yazoo City to win a Super Bowl Championship, joining former Raiders cornerback Willie Brown.

Acknowledges Cox's continued philanthropic work in Mississippi during off-seasons, including hosting The Fletcher Cox Football Camp annually at his high school alma mater.

Directs copies of the resolution be presented to Fletcher Cox and distributed to Mississippi State University, Yazoo City High School, and Capitol Press Corps.
