Commends and congratulates the 2017-2018 Gulfport High School Boys Soccer Team for winning the Mississippi High School Activities Association Class 6A State Championship on February 17, 2018, defeating Madison Central High School 2-1.

Recognizes Head Coach Henrik Madsen and Assistant Coaches Patrick Wadsworth and Fredy Clavijo for their leadership and development of the players.

Notes the team finished the season with an 18-4-3 record, an 11-game winning streak, ranked number four nationally by MaxPreps, and outscored opponents 31-2 in championship play.

Lists 31 student-athletes on the roster, led by senior captains Christopher Bruni and Eli Cupp.

Directs that copies of the resolution be furnished to Head Coach Henrik Madsen and the Capitol Press Corps.
