Commends and congratulates the Germantown High School Marching Band and Director Justin Harvison for winning the 2017 MHSAA Class 5A State Marching Championship on November 4, 2017.

Band's performance titled "Run for the Roses" earned first place in general effect music, general effect visual, music performance ensemble, music performance individual, visual performance individual, and percussion with no penalties.

Band comprises 136 students under Director Justin Harvison and Assistant Directors Allison Taylor, Josh Craft, Jim Peacock, Carrie Swindoll, and Justin Craft.

Represents the band's second state title since the Germantown High School Band Program's inception in 2011.

Directs copies of the resolution to be furnished to Director Justin Harvison and Capitol Press Corps members.
