Commends Jackson Public Schools Career Development Center students Gerald Aldridge (Jim Hill High School), Zion Blount (Murrah High School), and D'Anthony Thompson (Callaway High School) for winning the 2017 Congressional App Challenge

Recognizes instructor Myesha Wallace, a Callaway High School graduate with a BFA from Savannah College of Art and Design, who also led the 2016-2017 Verizon App Challenge state winners

The winning app "STEM Adventures" is an interactive comic activity book designed to teach 3rd-5th grade students about science, technology, engineering, and mathematics occupations

The students competed among over 4,100 students nationwide in the Congressional App Challenge, which encourages coding education through competitions hosted by members of Congress

Winners were invited to participate in #HouseOfCode on April 11-13, 2018, in Washington, D.C.
