Commemorates the life and legacy of Mrs. Shirley Gray Owens, who passed away on March 12, 2018, and expresses deepest sympathy to her family and friends.

Honors Mrs. Owens' service as an educator in the Moss Point School District, where she devoted 37 years teaching speech, drama, and English at Magnolia High School and Moss Point High School.

Recognizes her graduation from Jackson State University in 1968 with a degree in speech and drama, and her lifelong commitment to her faith and family.

Survived by her children DeMiracle Woodson and Darvin Owens, Sr., four siblings, two grandchildren, and numerous relatives and friends.

Directs the House to provide copies of this resolution to Mrs. Owens' family and the Capitol Press Corps.
