Commends the Brookhaven Academy Lady Cougars Basketball Team for winning the 2018 Mississippi Association of Independent Schools (MAIS) Class AA State Basketball Championship.

Team finished the 2017-2018 season with a record of 31 wins and 7 losses, including a 10-0 district and tournament record.

Lady Cougars defeated Marshall Academy Patriots 51-40 in the championship game, bringing the "Gold Ball" Trophy back to Brookhaven Academy for the first time since 2005.

Names 19 student athletes on the team roster plus trainers Cameron Emory and Izzie Nelson, and praises Head Coach Jason Case for his leadership and development of the players.

Directs copies of the resolution be furnished to Head Coach Jason Case, the Brookhaven Academy headmaster, and the Capitol Press Corps.
