MS SB2027

Amends Mississippi Code Section 53-1-17 to require the State Oil and Gas Board to promulgate regulations mandating blowout-prevention training courses for all personnel employed by permit holders who perform drilling or production of oil or gas wells.

Requires the State Oil and Gas Board to establish a fee representing the actual cost of providing the training, with fees deposited into the General Fund as required under Section 53-1-7.

Effective July 1, 2018.
