Amends Mississippi Code Section 51-1-4 to add protections for landowners whose property borders public waterways when persons operate motorized vehicles without written permission.

Prohibits operation of all-terrain vehicles, four-wheel-drive motorized vehicles, or tracked conveyances in the beds of public waterways without written landowner permission; violators subject to Class II violations under Section 49-7-143.

Bars persons using motorized vehicles illegally in public waterway beds from recovering damages against landowners for injuries or property damage, except for intentional, malicious, gross, or willful negligence claims.

Exempts normal fording of streams by authorized persons for legitimate recreational, agricultural, forestry, or other lawful purposes from the prohibition.

Takes effect July 1, 2018.
