Amends Mississippi Code Section 99-19-71 to allow convictions for possession of precursor chemicals under Section 41-29-313 to be expunged from public records.

Eligible persons may petition the court five (5) years after successfully completing all terms and conditions of their sentence; limited to one (1) felony expunction per person.

Court must determine the applicant is rehabilitated from the offense before granting expunction, with specific findings required if petition is denied.

A nonpublic record is retained by the Mississippi Criminal Information Center for determining first-offender status in subsequent proceedings, and district attorneys may retain records for law enforcement purposes only.

Takes effect July 1, 2018.
