Amends Mississippi Code Section 43-21-105 to explicitly include Munchausen by proxy as a form of child abuse in the definition of "abused child."

Amends Mississippi Code Section 43-47-5 to explicitly include Munchausen by proxy as a form of abuse against vulnerable persons under the adult protective services statute.

Establishes that Munchausen by proxy committed against both children and vulnerable adults constitutes abuse under Mississippi law and subjects perpetrators to legal consequences under both child welfare and adult protective services statutes.

Effective date: July 1, 2018.
