Creates the "Prescription Drugs Consumer Affordable Alternative Payment Options Act" codified in Mississippi Code sections 73-21-201 through 73-21-205.

Allows pharmacists to provide patients with information about affordable alternative payment options for prescription medications, including cost and clinical efficacy of more affordable alternatives.

Declares that contract or agreement provisions prohibiting pharmacists from providing such information are void and violate public policy.

Prohibits the Board of Pharmacy, pharmacy benefit managers, and third parties from penalizing pharmacists for complying with this act, and provides liability protection for pharmacists and their agents or employees.

Takes effect July 1, 2018.
