Removes the age limitation on health insurance coverage for autism spectrum disorder screening, diagnosis, and treatment, allowing coverage beyond age 8.

Maintains the existing limit of 25 hours per week for applied behavior analysis coverage, with no more than 10 hours per week provided by a licensed behavior analyst.

Coverage may be extended beyond the 25 hours per week limit if medical necessity is determined or through the health insurance policy's appeal rights process.

Applies to all health insurance policies delivered, executed, issued, amended, or renewed in Mississippi on or after January 1, 2016, including individual, group, and managed care plans.

Takes effect July 1, 2018.
