Requires designation of "PDD" (pervasive developmental disorder) on new, renewal, or duplicate driver's licenses and identification cards upon presentation of a letter from a licensed Mississippi physician or psychologist verifying the diagnosis.

Applies the PDD designation to driver's licenses, temporary driving permits, intermediate licenses, and commercial driver's licenses.

Mandates the Board on Law Enforcement Officer Standards and Training to require at least 6 hours of mental health and behavioral training in initial law enforcement certification programs and at least 1 hour in continuing education programs.

Training must teach officers to recognize behavioral characteristics of autism, Asperger's syndrome, and other mental or medical conditions with atypical developmental symptoms that may appear suspicious to untrained observers.

Effective date is July 1, 2018.
