Prohibits the sale, farming, cultivation, incubation, or inducement to spawn of Atlantic salmon or genetically engineered fish in Mississippi that may contact native fish or spread contagious diseases to them.

Authorizes the Department of Agriculture and Commerce to enforce compliance with these restrictions for permit holders under Section 79-22-9.

Exempts from the ban: non-living fish imported for human consumption, dead fish in pet food/fertilizer/consumer products, triploid fish, hybrid fish, shellfish, live aquarium fish, and fish used in closed-system scientific research.

Requires the department to adopt rules for disposal of research fish to ensure they are not released into any body of water in the state.

Becomes effective July 1, 2018, with an exemption for Atlantic salmon already present in the state before that date.
