Requires all individual and group health insurance policies providing prescription drug coverage to permit and apply prorated daily cost-sharing rates for partial medication supplies when requested by patients for synchronization purposes.

Prohibits health insurance policies from denying coverage for partial prescription supplies dispensed by network pharmacies when a prescriber or pharmacist determines it is in the patient's best interest and the patient requests or agrees to synchronization.

Mandates that dispensing fees for partial prescriptions be paid in full by insurers for each dispensed prescription, regardless of any prorated daily cost-sharing rate applied to beneficiaries.

Makes these medication synchronization requirements fully applicable to the State and School Employees Health Insurance Plan and the Mississippi Medicaid Program.

Effective January 1, 2019.
