Requires local school boards to assess all eleventh-grade students using the General Educational Development or High School Equivalency Diploma Test Program administered by the Mississippi Community College Board.

Assessment must be administered before the conclusion of the school year in which the student is enrolled in Grade 11.

Prohibits students whose assessment scores demonstrate they are not performing at grade level from receiving the senior privilege of early release from school upon completion of all required daily academic classes.

Takes effect July 1, 2018.
