Transfers accreditation authority over schools of practical nursing from the Mississippi Community College Board to the Mississippi Board of Nursing, effective July 1, 2019.

Requires the State Department of Education's Division of Vocational Education to contract with the Mississippi Board of Nursing to establish accreditation standards and issue certificates to practical nursing schools.

Removes the Mississippi Community College Board's authority to levy fees from proprietary institutions to recover costs of accrediting practical nursing programs.

Maintains the Commission on Proprietary School and College Registration under the Community College Board for other proprietary school oversight and registration functions.

Effective date: July 1, 2018.
