Amends Section 37-15-38 of Mississippi Code to clarify that local school boards are authorized to expend funds from any available source to pay tuition and costs for dual enrollment university and community college courses for eligible students residing in the district.

Upon application to the superintendent by an eligible student, the local school board is authorized and encouraged to defray tuition and dual enrollment program costs, with payment made directly to the credit-granting institution.

Maintains existing dual enrollment program provisions including admission criteria, transcript requirements, course eligibility standards, and instructor qualifications established by postsecondary institutions.

Preserves the Mississippi Works Dual Enrollment-Dual Credit Option Program for potential or recent student dropouts, with tuition and costs for community college courses not charged to students or parents.

Effective July 1, 2018.
