Requires persons reporting suspected child abuse or neglect to the Department of Child Protection Services to provide their name, address, and telephone number in the report.

Mandates that the reporter's name, address, and telephone number be redacted from all case records after the case is closed.

Requires the Department of Child Protection Services to notify the applicable military installation family advocacy program when a parent or caregiver of an abused or neglected child maintains active duty military status.

Extends the same reporting identity requirements and redaction procedures to persons reporting suspected abuse, neglect, or exploitation of vulnerable persons to the Department of Human Services.

Effective July 1, 2018.
