Amends Section 1-3-41 of the Mississippi Code to clarify the definition of "personal property" to explicitly include both tangible and intangible personal property.

Adds cash, deposit accounts, and promissory notes to the statutory definition of personal property.

Maintains existing inclusions of goods, chattels, effects, evidences of rights of action, and written instruments that create or transfer pecuniary obligations or interests in real or personal estate.

Takes effect July 1, 2018.
