Requires each local education provider in Mississippi to maintain a searchable, publicly accessible expenditure and revenue website by July 1, 2018.

Website must display detailed financial data including entity names, expenditure amounts, funding sources, dates, budget categories, and purpose descriptions for all monies received and expended.

Data must be provided in downloadable, open format allowing users to systematically search, sort and access information; budgeted figures posted within one week of budget adoption and audited figures within one week of final audit acceptance.

Local education providers must update financial data monthly, post total expenditures and per-pupil spending calculations on homepage, and maintain archived data remaining searchable on the website.

Applies to school districts, boards of cooperative services, state agencies authorizing charter schools, and public charter schools; website may link to State Department of Education annual report displaying required information.
