Amends Section 79-4-10.05 of Mississippi Code to allow a corporation's board of directors to change the corporate name without shareholder approval.

Expands the types of name changes permitted without shareholder approval to include any change to the corporate name, not just substitution of corporate designations or geographical attributions.

Adds authority for board of directors to delete the name and address of the initial registered agent or registered office if a statement of change is on file with the Secretary of State.

Renumbers existing subsections (4) through (8) to (5) through (9) to accommodate the new registered agent/office deletion provision.

Takes effect upon passage.
