Amends Section 63-3-1007 to require vehicles approaching railroad grade crossings to stop when warning signals indicate the approach of trains or other on-track equipment, including hi-rail vehicles and on-track maintenance equipment.

Expands the definition of equipment requiring stopping behavior to include hi-rail vehicles and on-track maintenance equipment in addition to trains.

Amends Section 63-3-1013 to require slow-moving equipment and structures (caterpilllar tractors, steam shovels, derricks, rollers, or equipment moving at 6 mph or slower) to stop and listen for approaching trains or other on-track equipment before crossing railroad grade crossings.

Requires operators of qualifying heavy equipment to listen and look both directions along tracks for any approaching on-track equipment and warning signals before proceeding across railroad grade crossings.

Takes effect July 1, 2018.
