Amends Section 97-3-54.1 of the Mississippi Code to clarify notice requirements regarding human trafficking cases involving minors.

Requires the Department of Child Protection Services to notify the Human Trafficking Coordinator within the Office of the Attorney General of reported child trafficking cases as soon as possible.

Maintains existing penalties for human trafficking offenses: 2-20 years imprisonment and $10,000-$100,000 fine for adult victims; 5-20 years imprisonment and $20,000-$100,000 fine for minor victims; and 5-30 years imprisonment and $50,000-$500,000 fine for procuring sexual servitude of a minor.

Clarifies that minors identified as trafficking victims are not criminally liable for activity committed as a result of their trafficking.

Takes effect July 1, 2018.
