Amends Section 79-11-511 of the Mississippi Code to clarify service of process requirements for charitable organizations, fund-raisers, and solicitors that solicit contributions in Mississippi.

Requires entities soliciting charitable donations to designate a registered agent under Section 79-35-1 et seq. for service of process within Mississippi.

Allows service of process upon the Secretary of State of Mississippi if no registered agent has been designated and process cannot otherwise be served.

Removes the previous requirement that entities must not maintain an office within the state to be subject to these service of process provisions.

Effective date: July 1, 2018.
