Prohibits noncompete and restrictive covenant agreements in physician contracts for partnerships, employment, or professional relationships in Mississippi, rendering such provisions void and unenforceable.

Voids restrictions on physicians' rights to practice medicine in any geographic area, treat patients of former employers, or solicit physician-patient relationships following contract termination.

Exempts purchase and sale of physician practices from the prohibition, allowing noncompete covenants up to five (5) years in those transactions.

Permits employers to require physician reimbursement of moving expenses, bonuses, or other inducements up to one-tenth (1/10th) of annual salary if the physician terminates the contract, except in practice sale situations.

Takes effect July 1, 2018.
