Amends Section 37-9-105 of Mississippi Code of 1972 regarding employee nonreemployment notifications.

Adds a new requirement for school districts to notify assistant teachers of nonreemployment decisions no later than 10 days after the local school board adopts the district's annual budget for the forthcoming academic school year, with a deadline not later than June 30.

Retains existing notification deadlines for principals (March 1) and teachers/administrators (April 15 or 10 days after Governor's approval of K-12 education budget, whichever is later).

Exempts interim conservators and school boards acting on recommendations from financial advisors from the required time limitations.

Effective July 1, 2018.
