Creates the Mississippi Opioid Crisis Commission to review recommendations from the Governor, Department of Health, health care providers, and regulatory agencies regarding opioid issues and develop comprehensive legislative and regulatory recommendations.

Commission composition includes the State Health Officer (Chair), chairs of Senate and House Public Health and Welfare and Drug Policy committees, two Senate and two House members appointed by leadership, representatives from medical, pharmacy, dental, and nursing licensing boards, three addiction treatment/mental health representatives, and a Governor's representative.

Appointments must be made within 30 days of the bill's effective date, with the commission holding its first meeting before May 1, 2018.

Commission shall deliver initial report with recommendations by August 1, 2018, then meet at least annually thereafter to review statistical data, evaluate effectiveness of adopted regulations, and make additional recommendations as needed.

State Department of Health shall provide administrative support and all state departments and agencies must provide facilities, assistance, information, and data requested by commission members.
