Amends Section 41-29-179 of Mississippi Code to authorize the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics to dispose of unclaimed nonforfeited property using surplus property disposal procedures.

Establishes a 30-day retrieval period for property owners after a court order releases property determined to be not subject to forfeiture.

Allows the Bureau of Narcotics to sell property as surplus if not retrieved within the 30-day period, with expenses deducted and remaining balance forwarded to the State Treasurer as unclaimed property.

Effective date: July 1, 2018.
