Prohibits Mississippi state agencies, political subdivisions, state employees, and Mississippi National Guard members from assisting U.S. Armed Forces in investigating, prosecuting, or indefinitely detaining U.S. citizens under Section 1021 of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2012

Section 1021 of the NDAA 2012 grants the President power to order indefinite detention of persons arrested in the United States without charge or trial

Prohibition applies only when such assistance would violate the U.S. Constitution, Mississippi Constitution of 1890, or state law

Exempts participation in joint task forces or cooperative agreements with federal law enforcement that are not specifically for NDAA Section 1021 investigations, prosecutions, or detentions

Effective date of July 1, 2018
