Senate Bill 2910 Summary

• Changes the condition for Division of Medicaid to report projected shortfalls to the PEER Committee from "any quarter" to when Medicaid expenditures are projected to exceed available funds for the fiscal year.

• Moves the deadline for PEER Committee to report its findings to the Legislative Budget Office from within 30 days of Division notification to no later than January 7 of the year in which the shortfall is projected.

• Requires the Division to submit expected shortfall information to PEER no later than December 1 of the year in which the shortfall is projected to occur.

• Extends the repeal date of Section 43-13-117 from June 30, 2018 to June 30, 2019.

• Takes effect July 1, 2018.
