Amends Section 25-41-15 of Mississippi Code to add a new subsection (5) allowing courts to void actions taken in violation of the Open Meetings Act upon finding a preponderance of evidence of violation.

Court shall void actions only if it finds that the public interest in enforcing the Open Meetings Act policy outweighs the public interest in sustaining the validity of the action taken in the closed meeting.

Establishes a statute of limitations requiring enforcement suits to be filed within one year from when the violation is ascertainable and no later than two years after the violation occurs.

Exempts actions regarding the issuance of bonds or other evidence of indebtedness if a public hearing, election, or public sale has been held regarding the bonds or indebtedness.

Takes effect July 1, 2018.
