Extends the repeal date for the State Forester's authority to appoint Mississippi Forestry Commission Law Enforcement Officers from June 30, 2018 to June 30, 2022.

Allows the State Forester to recommend six law enforcement officers who may bear arms, investigate crimes, and make arrests with authority limited to woods arson cases.

Requires law enforcement officers to comply with minimum educational and training standards and allows them to issue citations for reckless or grossly negligent fire spread onto another's property.

Establishes citation procedures requiring uniform citation forms with specific information and provisions for filing complaints in courts of competent jurisdiction.

Takes effect July 1, 2018.
