Commends the 2017 Pearl High School "Pirates" football team for winning their first-ever MHSAA Class 6A State Championship with a perfect 16-0 season.

Honors Head Coach John Perry as Coach of the Year and senior player Tylan Knight as Player of the Year for their roles in the championship victory over Starkville (21-17) on December 1, 2017.

Recognizes the team's achievement in completing an undefeated season and bringing honor to Pearl High School, their coaches, community, and the State of Mississippi.

Lists all 67 team members including players, coaching staff, and support personnel who contributed to the championship.

Directs the resolution to be presented to Coach Perry and forwarded to Pearl High School Principal Chris Chism and the Pearl School Board.
