Coach Denson achieved 1,000 collegiate victories on March 18, 2015, and compiled 471 wins during 14 seasons at University of Southern Mississippi and 590 wins at Belhaven

Denson led Southern Mississippi to 12 consecutive winning seasons and the university's first NCAA appearance, establishing USM as a nationally recognized baseball power

Coach Denson previously served as Assistant Coach at Vanderbilt University, Director of In-Game Promotions for the Nashville Sounds (Yankees minor league), and coached at three Mississippi high schools

Resolution directs presentation of commendation to Coach Denson, the Belhaven University Board of Trustees, and the Capitol Press Corps
