Mississippi applies under Article V of the U.S. Constitution for a limited amendments convention to propose an amendment requiring state legislative approval for federal debt increases.

Mississippi applies for a convention to propose a constitutional amendment establishing term limits for members of the U.S. House of Representatives and U.S. Senate.

The convention shall be limited exclusively to these two subjects and will remain a continuing application until two-thirds of state legislatures make similar applications.

Mississippi's application will be aggregated with other states' applications on federal debt limits or congressional term limits to reach the two-thirds threshold required by Article V.

The Secretary of State shall transmit certified copies to the President of the Senate, Speaker of the House, Mississippi's congressional delegation, and presiding officers of all state legislatures.
