Recognizes Tori Bowie, former University of Southern Mississippi track-and-field athlete, for winning two gold medals at the 2017 IAAF World Championships in London, England.

Bowie won gold in the 100-meter final (10.85 seconds) and anchored Team USA to victory in the 4x100-meter relay (41.82 seconds), becoming the first double gold medalist at the IAAF World Athletic Championships.

Bowie is a three-time All-American at University of Southern Mississippi and won three medals at the 2016 Rio Olympics, including gold in the 4x100-meter relay.

November 25 was proclaimed "Tori Bowie Day" by the Southern Miss Department of Athletics and the City of Hattiesburg to honor her accomplishments.

Resolution directs presentation of the resolution to Tori Bowie, her family, University of Southern Mississippi leadership, and the State Institutions of Higher Learning.
