Commends and congratulates the Noxubee County High School "Tigers" football team and Head Coach Tyrone Shorter for winning their fifth MHSAA Class 4A State Championship on December 2, 2017.

The Tigers defeated East Central 41-35 at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium, with the championship dedicated to the memory of Offensive Coordinator James Patterson, who had coached at Noxubee County for 37 years.

Quarterback Armoni Clark had 472 passing yards and three touchdowns, including a 10-yard touchdown pass to Maliek Stallings that gave the Tigers their first lead late in the game; Keymarcus Jackson sealed the victory with an interception at the one-yard line.

Lists the complete roster of 61 student athletes, head coach, assistant head coach, and assistant coaches.

Directs presentation of the resolution to Coach Shorter and distribution to Noxubee County Principal James Covington, the Noxubee County Board of Education, and the Capitol Press Corps.
